Privacy
Hudhud is a demo app made by Ahmed Hmeid as part of a portfolio. It's built to collect as little as possible.
What we keep
- Grown-ups: an email address and password (held by our login provider, Supabase, in the EU). The same login works across Ahmed's portfolio apps.
- Children: a first name or nickname you choose, an optional age, and their progress: answers right and wrong, stars, XP, streaks, badges and game scores. Children never have their own login or email.
- Guests: "Try it now" keeps progress against a cookie on this device only.
Scoreboards
Scoreboards and the Team Cup show only a made-up nickname such as "Swift Falcon 27" and the child's Hudhud. Real names are only ever shown to their own family.
Usage analytics
We use PostHog (EU) to count how the app is used, such as pages viewed and lessons finished. Nothing is stored in the browser for this, no one is identified, and no names, emails or nicknames are sent. There are no ads and no advertising or tracking cookies.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the app needs: one to keep a grown-up logged in, and one to remember which child is playing on this device. The sound on/off setting is kept in your browser.
No AI
Everything children see and hear was written and recorded in advance. Nothing in the app is generated by AI while they play, and nothing they do is sent to an AI service.
Pictures
Pictures are from Microsoft's Fluent Emoji, used under the MIT licence.
Removing data
A grown-up can remove a child and their progress from the child's report page at any time.
